On My Forty First

This piece reflects my personal perspective on my forty-one years on this earth. With forty-one years of life experience, I've contemplated the passage of time and the milestones I've achieved. Through the use of colors and dynamic shapes, this piece captures a sense of movement and progression, symbolizing the journey of life.

In juxtaposition with the poem I wrote for this piece, I express my wishes for good health, happiness, and fulfillment, as well as the joy of making new connections and maintaining old friendships.

My artwork is a visual expression of my aspirations, a celebration of life, and a reminder to appreciate every moment. I hope that my artwork resonates with others and inspires them to reflect on their own journey through life.

On My Forty-First

On this day of my birth,
Forty one years and counting,
I wish of good life and health,
Of happiness and some wealth,
Of keeping new friends comin’
And having old friends hangin’.

Forty and one years,
I have crossed oceans,
And tread the seas.
Forty more years and some,
I wish to see more places,
And people of different faces.

Thirteen years of Forty one,
This year we became one.
Thirteen more years and some,
I wish we can live more than
Thirteen times thirteen years of forty one.

These three wishes for my day of birth,
On my forty and one years on earth,
I wish this too
That my wishes would all come true.
